TREKINETIC K-2 nominated for British Health Care Trades Association (BHTA) 2007 Independent Living Design Award
The Independent Living Design Awards aim to recognise good, innovative, commercially available products, that assist independent living. Over the years designers and manufacturers have made huge strides in devising clever, practical products which enable elderly and disabled people to stay in their own homes leading an independent life.
These awards are organised by the magazine, Assistive Technologies, whose readers vote for the companies they consider have given the best service in the fields of mobility, orthotics, and prosthetics.
11th July '06 -TREKINETIC preselected for International Innovation Award
Despite only being launched four weeks ago, TREKINETIC's K-2 All Terrain Wheelchair has already been preselected for the prestigious 2007 International Well-Tech Technical Innovation Award.
Each year the Milan based Well-Tech organisation carefully selects sixty of the most significant technological products from around the globe, for their contribution to 'Technical Innovation, Sustainability, Accessibility and Quality of Life Values'
This is a major recognition and TREKINETIC are in the company of some of the worlds largest global multinationals. TREKINETIC are naturally delighted that Well-Tech have been quick to recognise that the benefits of the K-2's revolutionary design may be somewhat more than skin deep
The evaluation by the judges will take place in February 2007.
